A recent Agrilinks blog post describes a unique capacity strengthening activity in Uganda that aims to build future agricultural leaders using a hands-on, entrepreneurial approach. The Gayaza High School (GHS) in Kampala utilizes its school farm as a learning laboratory for all students. This experiential learning opportunity enables students, teachers, and community members to acquire agricultural skills, witness sustainable production, connect with agricultural entrepreneurs, and engage with industry leaders. Teachers are very conscious of designing experiences to inspire students to become producers and future leaders. The aim of this activity is to encourage the youth to engage in agriculture and increase innovation in the future. The full post on this capacity strengthening activity can be found here.
