IFPRI’s West and Central Africa Office (WCAO) held a series seven trainings to familiarize Africa experts with the tools and methodologies which can be used to provide analysis to guide African governments in the appraisal of National Agricultural Investment Plans (NAIPs) and the development of new NAIPs. The trainings were organized in Senegal during April and May 2017. Topics of the trainings included gender, inclusive growth and value chain development, regional trade, public agriculture expenditure, climate smart agriculture, agriculture growth and poverty reduction goals and country modeling, and food security and nutrition.
