Strengthening the agriculture innovation system (AIS) is a key step to accomplish food systems transformation. FAO collaborated with IFPRI to develop two knowledge products to strengthen the enabling environment for agricultural innovation. The first knowledge focusses on developing a conceptual framework for integrating different aspects of AIS and guidelines to enable regional organizations and governments to strengthen their integrated policies and increase investments for agricultural innovation. The second product provides a compendium of innovations in extension
and advisory services to promote, facilitate and scale them up worldwide and support countries in building sustainable rural livelihoods and reduce poverty. These knowledge products are currently under publication.
