Yanyan Liu Ying Sun, Jiaming Wen, and Chonabayashi made a virtual presentation at a webinar focussed on how satellite imagery reveals large-scale land restoration measures improved resilience to drought in Ethiopian degraded watersheds. The presenters showcased breakthrough work on combining remote sensing products and quasi-experimental impact evaluation methods to investigate the impact of a large-scale land restoration intervention targeting degraded watersheds in the Ethiopian highlands. The work rendered a paper now published in Nature Sustainability.
