Himanshu Pathak, Mamata Pradhan, and Shreya Kapoor conducted a capacity building workshop on methods to prioritize climate-smart agriculture technologies for the country representatives of SAARC countries as part of the Consortium for Scaling-up Climate Smart Agriculture in South Asia (C-SUCSeS) project. The objectives of the workshop were: i) Impart a clear understanding of the definition, principles, and classification of Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) technologies to all the national focal points (NFPs) and their teams working on the C-SUCSeS project; and ii) Prioritize the CSA technologies based on scientific evidence by using the World Bank CSA technology Index. Participants included National focal points (NFPs) and their teams working on the Consortium for Scaling-up Climate Smart Agriculture in South Asia (C-SUCSeS) project. These NFPs represent the National Agriculture Research Systems (NARS) of the respective SAARC countries. Based on the training, all the NFPs have been able to rate the CSA technologies using the CSA technology index which in turn, has helped them to prioritize CSA technologies. The workshop had 30 males and 5 females. To access the workshop material, click here.
