Stella Kiconco recently received her PhD in agrarian extension from the University of Pretoria. Suresh Babu, Senior Research Fellow and Head of Capacity Strengthening, IFPRI, was her PhD supervisor.
During her PhD journey, she received the AfricaLics Visiting PhD
Fellowship in 2022 at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology, Nairobi campus. The fellowship helped facilitate Suresh Babu's travel and six days stay in Nairobi. During the visit, Stella was able to work with her supervisor to identify strategies on how to progress on her research topic.
Stella is now a part-time lecturer at Kyambogo University in Uganda. She is also a research fellow at the University of Johannesburg under the project 'Future Rural Africa'.
